Morning Announcements:
- T-shirt order forms are available in the HS office for our Tackle Breast Cancer football game against McComb on Oct. 7, 2022. All t-shirt order forms are due back to Mr. Scott by today!
- Boys basketball open gym for 7-12th graders is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 - 8 in the Bob Abbey Gym.
- Seniors - send pictures of your painted parking spot to yearbook@cory-rawson.org.
- Seniors are selling raffles tickets for a chance to win TWO Ohio State football tickets to the October 1st game vs Rutgers. The Raffle Drawing will be Friday evening the 23rd. Seniors KEEP SELLING your tickets!
- All students in grades 9-12: If you have not already, please submit the survey regarding your choice for Featured Speaker for Wednesday this week! You have the link in an email, or you can ask your fourth period teacher where they have it posted. Choices need to be submitted by 1:00 TODAY to ensure you can attend the session you would like to.
- Congratulations to the Cross Country team. On Saturday, they competed at the Waynesfield Goshen Night Invitational. Grant Welte finished 10th, Hunter Foust finished 13th, and Carson Skulina finished 27th.
- The 8th grade class is holding a raffle for a chance at winning 2 tickets to the Ohio State vs. Iowa football game on October 22nd. The value is $263 plus $25 cash towards parking. See an 8th grade student to purchase your chance to win!
Tuesday Additions:
- Students and Teachers - remember that on Friday, staff will be asked to nominate and vote for the junior high and high school students who showed the most spirit this week as Spirit Prince and Princess and King and Queen!
- 9-12 students - if you are planning to bring a non-Cory-Rawson guest from another school to the Homecoming dance, you MUST have a guest form on file. Please get one of these ASAP from Mrs. Welch or Mrs. Stockwell. Guests without a form on file will not be admitted to the dance.
- Juniors and Seniors - RPM Carbide Die is inviting students to tour their facility during school on October 6. They specialize in precision grinding, machining, and finishing of close tolerance tooling for the automotive, fastener, metal container and aerospace sectors. If this is appealing to you as a career field, stop by Mrs. Hosler's office or send her an email to sign up by Monday, September 26!
- Seniors - 4 more days! Your OSU Raffle Tickets and money is due to the HS Office or Mrs. Price by this FRIDAY!!!!
- Student Council, 9-10 class officers and anyone else who is willing - we are decorating for the dance in the elementary cafeteria from 9-11 on Saturday morning; please let Mrs. Stockwell know if you're able to help out. Treats provided!
Wednesday Additions:
- The Homecoming King and Queen ballot has now been sent out to all 9-12 students; please vote by the end of the day on Thursday.
- Spirit Week tally as of Tuesday afternoon- in 1st place is the sophomores with 171 points. 2nd place are the freshmen with 167 points. 3rd place is the seniors with 125 points and in last is the juniors with 18 points. Today's game during lunch is the cookie eating contest!! Meet in the abbey gym around 12:20 so we can get it started!! Don't forget we will be doing minute to win it games before the bonfire on Thursday night. Make sure you get signed up for those as well! There are still a lot of spots open!
- At last nights' cross country meet at Waynesfield-Goshen, Grant Welte finshed 2nd and Hunter Foust finished 3rd, and Carson Skulina finished 7th. Hunter broke his personal best time by 15 seconds. Congratulations to all of the runners.

- From a Government project dream to a reality - HOPEFUL HORNETS has arrived. All 7th - 12th graders, look at your email from Mrs. Price and 2 senior leaders for information on what is HOPEFUL HORNETS and how to be involved.
Friday Additions:
- Driving forms are available in the office. If you are driving to school, you must have a form on file. Please stop and fill one out.
- Today we will be running an empire schedule to accommodate the pep rally. During Empire please report to your 8th period.
